SMART HOUSE

By definition, a smart house, an intelligentzd_1_19102011 building or building management system (BMS) means a high-technology building which has a system of sensors and detectors but only one integrated system to manage all the installations located in the building. Thanks to information received from different elements of the system the building is able to respond to environmental changes both inside and outside. It can simulate the presence of residents and respond to their voice commands. This allows  it to function at its maximum level of comfort and safety while at a minimum of operational costs.

This seemingly impossible operation of communication through sensors is a highly innovative technological solution to, what is called, a smart house. The term”high-tech building”usually brings to mind high costs of construction and complicated service requiring at least an engineer’s degree. But,does it really? A better or more appropriate terminology for such a building should be automatic rather than intelligent.

The experts at OPTIMA POLAND expand their approach far beyond the standard definition of a smart home:
– we use open KNX architecture where the particular elements of the automation system are autonomous; they communicate with each other; the failure of one component does not have any influence on the work of others,
– we integrate an alarm system (which is present in most newly built homes) with all other installations such as, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning,
– we take into consideration the needs of the homeowner and install only what is necessary but, at the same time, allow for future improvements,
– our purpose is to achieve the greatest possible comfort of the household by eliminating manual operation; we strive to save energy and thus, also money.
