Conversations about renewable energy. The debate “RES in the countryside for the ordinary citizen” behind us 27.11.2017

1On Thursday, 23.11.2017, in the hours 12.00 – 14.00 in the Podlaskie Voivodeship Marshal’s Office took place a debate devoted to Renewable Energy Sources in rural areas. Its aim was an increase the awareness of rural residents about the potential for using renewable energy. In the role of one of the experts, as a long-term practician of RES, Pawel Wyszynski has performed. Apart from him, there were also present Stefan Krajewski- a member of the Podlaskie Voivodeship Board, dr inz. Malgorzata Smuczynska- RES practician, Michal Frydrych – representative of the Voivodeship Environment Protection Fund and Marcin Muszyc from the National Rural Network. The debate was led and moderated by prof. dr hab. inz. Maciej Zajkowski from Bialystok Technical University.

The meeting was an opportunity to learn about rational ways to use renewable energy sources and it created conditions to form own opinions about individual technologies. During the debate various issues such as the future of the energy market were discussed and recent achievements and solutions related to the use of RES, with particular emphasis on prosumer energy, were presented.

The organizer of the project was the Regional Secretariat of the National Rural Network.
